Ceiling Track Hoist supplier

Pretty sure we require a ceiling track hoist you describe in the piece on the front page so I don't think we need any further assessments but I was wondering if you knew any suppliers we could go to directly? My mother lives in South London if that helps

Thanks

Hello, thank you for your enquiry, I apologise for the delay in responding. A ceiling track hoist is a good option if you need to be hoisted for the long term. That is great that you have looked into this and decided what you want. There are several suppliers around. I have used Freeway, Oxford and Symmertrikit mostly. I would still recommend an OT assessment as there are lots of other things to look at with hoists. For example, you need to ensure you have the correct slings to go with it. This requires an assessment to ensure you have the right one and everyone can use it safely to avoid any accidents. You may also want equipment to be hoisted onto such as shower chair, arm chair or bed.
The disabled living foundation offer lots of advice and information on equipment and where you can purchase it, or feel free to see what else is on this website.

Thanks for the information. She is on the waiting list at the moment for an assessment but I think we'll have to pay for it ourselves anyway so I would rather just get the process started. I'll see if I can find some info on those suppliers.
