Ramp

Hello,

I have recently purchased a wheelchair as I can't walk as far as I used to. I cannot get it in and out of my house. I think I might need a ramp. What is the best way to get this arranged?

Hello, thank you for your enquiry. It would be better to have an OT visit you at home to look at this need. You can try through your Local Authority, but most have strict criteria on ramping. This is usually only provided if you are a full time wheelchair. If you are not successful with your local authority, you could have an assessment from a private OT who can carry out an assessment and then make recommendations for the best solution for you.
